What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? 

Our pricing is transparent and competitive. We provide free estimates based on square footage, surface type, and prep work required. Discounts are available for larger projects, repeat customers, and referrals. While we don't charge hidden fees, additional costs may apply for specialty finishes, repairs, or rush jobs — all clearly outlined in the quote before work begins 

What is your typical process for working with a new customer? 

Our process begins with a free consultation where we assess the space, discuss your goals, and offer expert advice on colors and finishes. Then, we provide a detailed written estimate. Once approved, we schedule the job at your convenience. On the start date, we prep the area carefully to protect your property, complete the painting with precision, and clean up thoroughly. A final walk-through ensures you’re 100% satisfied before we consider the job done. 

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? 

Our team has hands-on experience in residential and commercial painting, with formal training in surface preparation, color theory, and finishing techniques. Several of our crew members have completed OSHA safety certification and EPA Lead-Safe Certification, which is especially important for older NYC buildings. We also stay updated with new products and techniques through workshops and manufacturer training programs. 

How did you get started doing this type of work? 

I love the precision and satisfaction that comes with transforming a space. After gaining hands-on experience and learning the ins and outs of the trade, I decided to launch my own painting business here in NYC to deliver high-quality, reliable service with a personal touch. What types of customers have you worked with? I've worked with a wide range of customers, including homeowners, renters, property managers, real estate agents, and small business owners. Whether it's a single-room refresh, a full apartment repaint, or prepping a space for sale or lease, I tailor each project to meet the client’s needs and timeline. I’ve also worked with both first-time clients and repeat customers who value consistent, high-quality results. 

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take? 

One of my favorite recent projects was for an elderly woman living in an affordable housing unit. She wanted her living space refreshed as the old grey paint was dull, peeling, and just made the room feel tired. We worked within her budget to give the room a complete facelift, and when it was done, it truly came to life. The new colors made the space feel brighter and warmer, and depending on the lighting, it even gives off different tones. She told me it brought her joy and improved her mood every day. Knowing that something as simple as a fresh coat of paint could have such a positive impact on her mental health made me feel incredibly proud of the work we did. 

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

 Always ask for a detailed estimate and make sure it includes prep work, materials, and cleanup. Don’t just go with the lowest price — experience, quality, and reliability matter a lot in painting. It is also important to make sure the painting contractor is insured and licensed. Look at reviews, ask for photos of past work, and make sure the painter communicates clearly. A good provider will take the time to understand your needs and deliver results that last.

Customers should think about what areas they want painted, what kind of look or color scheme they’re going for, and whether they want any repairs or surface prep included. It’s also helpful to know their budget, ideal timeline, and if the space will be occupied during the job. Having these details ready makes it easier to give an accurate estimate and plan the project efficiently.
